Request for copies of all or any records of the late Johannes Maisha (Stanza) Bopape who died in detention under the security legislation at the John Vorster Square on 12 June 1988

Request for copies of all or any records of the late Johannes Maisha (Stanza) Bopape who died in detention under the security legislation at the John Vorster Square on 12 June 1988, the alleged cause of death was reported to be suicide by hanging, , however there have been concerns about how he died.  The record must include but not limited to:

i. Records of inquest hearings;
ii. Post mortem reports;
iii. Copies of any and all records related to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Amnesty Hearing (TRC Ref AC/2000/059) of former Commissioner of the SAP General van der Merwe and several other SB members including but not limited to their Amnesty Application and the transcript of their Amnesty Hearing.
