Nobukhosi Ntombifuthi Zulu, FOIP Coordinator
Nobukhosi is a passionate human rights defender and advocate who joined SAHA in 2018. She holds an LL.B. from University of KwaZulu-Natal. In 2013, she conducted research with a focus on economic development and governance systems. Zulu began articling at Lawyers for Human Rights in 2014, where she worked in the refugee and migrant rights clinic. Her work focused on ensuring the protection and promotion of basic human rights for migrants, as well as locals, through litigation and advocacy. After completing her articles, she was awarded the prestigious UCLA Sonke Fellowship that allowed her to earn her LLM in Los Angeles graduating with a dual specialization in International and Comparative Law as well Public Interest Law and Policy. Her interests include gender equality, access to information, community development, human rights education, migration and economic justice.

Nonhlanhla Khumalo, FOIP Intern
Nonhlanhla joins SAHA as a FOIP Intern for the March 2017 intake. She is currently enrolled with the University of Johannesburg in the LLM- Human Rights Law programme and is in the second year of the LLM programme. She believes that this opportunity will help her grow into an aspiring legal professional and will also enable her to make contributions to the civil society in matters relating to social justice and public interest law.
