Copies of nuclear licenses, nuclear plans and budgets, reports, minutes of meetings with other stakeholders, and progress and compliance reports

Any and all records related to but not limited to;

National Nuclear Regulator Act/Licenses
    • A copy of all nuclear authorisations granted under section 7(1)(a) of the National Nuclear Regulator Act, including any amendments to such authorisations.
    • A copy of any advice provided to the Minister in accordance with section 7(1)(g) of the National Nuclear Regulator Act.
    • A copy of any:
      o application received by the National Nuclear Regulator for a nuclear installation licence under section 21(1) of the National Nuclear Regulator Act;
      o any decision in respect of such application(s) under section 21(5) of the National Nuclear Regulator Act;
      o any representations made by a person who may be directly affected by the granting of a nuclear installation to the National Nuclear Regulator in accordance with section 21(4)(a) of the National Nuclear Regulator Act;
      o a copy of any nuclear installation licenses, including any conditions on those licenses, issued by the National Nuclear Regulator;
      o any standard conditions established by the Chief Executive Officer of the National Nuclear Regulator in accordance with section 23(1) of the National Nuclear Regulator Act.

Annual report
For the years; 2008/09, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12

Plans and budgets
• Copies of the budget of the National Nuclear Regulator for the past three financial years and the current financial year.
• Copies of the expenditure/audit reports of the National Nuclear Regulator for the past three financial years.

Seismic report
• A copy of any seismic report in relation to the proposed nuclear sites for nuclear one.

Engagement with Eskom
• Minutes of any meetings between the National Nuclear Regulator and Eskom in relation to the proposed nuclear sites for nuclear one.

Compliance/Progress
• A copy of any report provided to the International Atomic Energy Association in relation to the proposed nuclear sites for nuclear one.
• A copy of any report prepared by or on behalf of the International Atomic Energy Association in relation to the proposed nuclear sites for nuclear one.

EIA submission
• A copy of the submission of the National Nuclear Regulator in relation to the environmental impact assessment for the proposed nuclear sites for nuclear one.

Uranium enrichment

o research undertaken in relation to conducting uranium enrichment in South Africa;
o proposals or plans for undertaking uranium enrichment in South Africa; and
o approvals provided to any person (including juristic persons) for undertaking uranium enrichment in South Africa.
