Accessing Information Using PAIA poster:

The Accessing Infromation Using PAIA poster provides a flow diagram to illustrate the process of submitting a request under the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (PAIA) (a PAIA request).

The diagram highlights which form to use when making a PAIA request to a private body and which form to use when making a PAIA request to a public body as well as indicating what recourse is available in the event of a body ignoring a request or refusing access to records.

Structures of Government poster:

This poster is designed to outline the different structures of government in South Africa in light of the Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2000 (PAIA)'s definition of a "public body", this includes the national, provincial and municipal tiers of government as well as other functionaries and institutions that exercise public functions or perform public duties in terms of the Constitution or any other legislation.

The poster also seeks to identify the relevant government officials accountable as Information Officers and Relevant Authorities under PAIA.

The Visual Framework poster:

The Visual Framework poster provides a structure that can be used by individuals, communities and organisations to advocate for changes necessary to ensure the realisation of human rights in their communities.

The framework identifies five inter-connected parts to an advocacy strategy, namely: 1) identifying the people that need to be involved in the advocacy 2) thinking through the causes and effects of the problem 3) seeking information about the problem 4) talking through possible solutions and 5) taking action to ensure the implementation of the preferred solution.
