Any and all records related to the capturing/ acquiring, distribution and archiving of police audio visual material. Including but not limited to; policies, process documents, budgets, plans.
• Current policies, processes and procedures followed by SAPS in archiving audio visual material received, recorded and/or confiscated by SAPS,
• Policies, processes and procedures regarding the preservation of audio visual material
• Policy and/or plans by SAPS to digitize audio visual material recorded on outdated technology
• Policies, procedures, or processes for managing requests by third parties for access to and/or use of audio visual material held by SAPS
• Budget allocated for the preservation of audio visual material for the period from 2005 to 2012
• List of all audio visual material, including material which was recorded, acquired or confiscated by SAPS from 1983 to July 2012
• Total number of requests made to SAPS seeking access to and/or use of audio visual material from 2005 to July 2012 and the outcome of those requests
• Current policies, processes and procedures regarding the filming of events by SAPS including riots, protests, demonstrations, marches and unrest situations
• Any records indicating the number, nature and content of any audio visual materials transferred from SAPS to the National Archives
