Request for records related to complaints handling by the SAPS.
(A) With respect to each of the nine police inspectorate offices in each Provincial Police Commissioner’s office:
Copies of:
(1) the police inspectorate’s budget for the handling of complaints;
(2) the organogram for the office of the police inspectorate;
(3) any reports issued by the police inspectorate over the last two years; and
(4) any and all records setting out:
(a) the procedure for lodging any complaints with the police inspectorate for the province; and
(b) the procedure for making any submissions in relation to any complaints investigated by the police inspectorate for the province.
(B) With respect to the Secretariat of Police:
Copies of:
(1) the Secretariat’s budget for the handling of complaints;
(2) the organogram for the office of the Secretariat;
(3) any reports issued by the Secretariat over the last two years; and
(4) any and all records setting out:
(a) the procedure for lodging any complaints about non-compliance with the Domestic Violence Act by SAPS members with the Secretariat; and
(b) the procedure for making any submissions in relation to any complaints investigated by the Secretariat.
