Request for the Security Legislation Directorate File of the late Matthews Mabelane (File No. 4449) who died on 15 February 1977 while in police custody. The Police allege that he jumped from the window of the tenth floor at John Vorster Square, where he was held for twenty five days after his arrest for illegal entry into South Africa from Botswana.
